Terms of Use
Last updated: 3 October 2026
1. Parties and definitions
These terms are an agreement between Murat Ertürk ("Veterinex"), who operates the veterinex.com website (the "Site"), and the person using the Site (the "User").
- Visitor: a person using the Site without an account.
- Member: a person who opens an account to book appointments for their pet.
- Clinic user: a person authorised to represent a veterinary clinic who opens an account to add, claim or manage that clinic on the Site.
- Clinic: a veterinary clinic, practice or hospital listed on the Site.
- Booking request: an appointment request a member sends to a clinic through the Site, subject to the clinic's confirmation.
2. Subject and acceptance
These terms set out the conditions for using the Site and its services and the rights and obligations of the parties. They are concluded electronically when you accept them while signing up. Provisions not specific to membership also apply to visitors who use the Site without an account.
3. The service
- Veterinex is a directory and intermediary platform that helps you find veterinary clinics by province, district and service and send online booking requests.
- Veterinex does not provide veterinary services, diagnosis, treatment or medical advice. All responsibility for examinations and treatment lies with the clinic and the veterinarian.
- Clinic information (address, phone, opening hours, services) is based on what clinics tell us and on publicly available sources. We take care to keep it accurate and up to date but cannot guarantee it. You can report incorrect information with the "Something wrong?" link on the clinic's page.
- In an emergency, do not wait for an online booking: call a clinic marked "open 24/7".
- Examination and treatment fees and payments are between the clinic and the User. Veterinex does not take any payments.
4. Membership
- You must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to become a member.
- The information you provide when signing up must be accurate and up to date. Each account has a unique mobile number, which is also used to log in. An email address is optional for members and required for clinic users.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for activity on your account. If you notice unauthorised use, change your password immediately and let us know.
- Each person may open only one account; accounts may not be opened in someone else's name or with false information.
- Membership is free of charge.
5. Booking rules
- A booking request is not final until the clinic confirms it. The clinic may confirm or cancel the request; the status is shown on the "My appointments" page.
- You can have at most 2 active (pending or confirmed) appointments at the same clinic at a time.
- You can cancel an appointment on the Site up to 2 hours before its start time. After that, you need to call the clinic.
- Please cancel appointments you cannot attend so the clinic can offer the slot to other patients. Repeated no-shows or misuse may lead to the booking feature being restricted.
- Only write information about your pet that is needed for the appointment in the booking note.
6. Obligations of clinic users
- The clinic user declares that they are authorised to represent the clinic; Veterinex may ask for documents to verify this.
- The clinic user is responsible for clinic information being accurate, up to date and compliant with the law, including the rules on the veterinary profession and its promotion.
- A clinic that enables online booking agrees to confirm or cancel incoming requests within a reasonable time and to honour confirmed appointments.
- The clinic user uses member information obtained through a booking only for that appointment and in line with data protection law.
- Veterinex may review applications and changes and approve or reject them, or remove content that breaks these rules.
7. Prohibited use
When using the Site, Users agree not to:
- enter false, misleading or someone else's information,
- share unlawful or offensive content, including insults, harassment or discrimination,
- send spam or create fake booking requests,
- collect data from the Site with automated tools (bots, scraping), or try to bypass its security or disrupt it,
- use other users' accounts.
If these rules are broken, the content concerned may be removed and the account suspended or closed.
8. Intellectual property
The Site's design, software, logo and content prepared by Veterinex belong to Veterinex and may not be copied without permission. Clinic logos and content provided by clinics belong to those clinics; the clinic user grants Veterinex a free, non-perpetual licence to display them on the Site.
9. Limitation of liability
- Veterinex takes reasonable care to keep the Site running without interruption or errors, but interruptions may occur due to maintenance, technical faults or force majeure.
- Veterinex is not a party to disputes between a clinic and a User about examinations, treatment, fees and the like.
- Cases where liability cannot be limited by law (such as intent and gross negligence) and your rights under consumer law remain reserved.
10. Personal data and communication
Your personal data is processed as explained on the "Cookies and Privacy" page. Campaigns and news are only sent if you give permission under the "Commercial Electronic Message Consent". Service messages such as appointment updates, password resets and security notices are not commercial messages.
11. Closing your account
- You can close your account at any time by using the contact form or writing to kvkk@veterinex.com. Data of closed accounts is deleted or anonymised within the periods on the "Cookies and Privacy" page.
- Veterinex may suspend or close an account, with notice, if these terms are breached. In serious cases (such as fraud or acting in someone else's name) notice may not be given in advance.
12. Changes
These terms may be updated. The current version is published on this page; significant changes are announced on the Site or through your registered contact details. If you do not accept a change, you can close your account.
13. Evidence, governing law and disputes
In disputes, Veterinex's electronic records constitute evidence that may be rebutted. These terms are governed by Turkish law. Users acting as consumers may apply to Consumer Arbitration Committees within the monetary limits, and to Consumer Courts above them, under Consumer Protection Law No. 6502. For other disputes, the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul have jurisdiction.
14. Entry into force
These terms enter into force when the User accepts them electronically while signing up and remain valid for as long as the membership continues.
